Yesterday was the huge UK Youth celebration event that was hosted by our partners SoapBox/Dragon Hall Trust and SoundSkool were asked to provide the music entertainment. Thanks to Loud Futures for working with our students this year, providing some fantastic guest and industry insights.
UK Youth’s patron is Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, who arrived at SoapBox and spent time talking with all of the charities, staff, young people and youth workers being celebrated. SoapBox, had also arranged a full spectrum of digital interactive activities happening for young people who were enjoying making music, using VR, 3D printing and lots more.
Our Senior leadership team alongside Allesandro (a distinction star 2nd year student) had the pleasure of spending ten minutes with the Princess, explaining what SoundSkool is and our unique partnership with SoapBox and how this compliments each others work and benefit’s the young people.
Last but not least onto the music!!
Ashanti and Lakenya sang 30mins of mostly original music and the feedback from the guests was insane!! The talent shown was truly inspiring and this culminated in a final performance from the girls watched by Princess Anne, it is definitely not every day that you can wow royalty with your musical talents! Good luck girls and we are so proud to now officially call you our #SoundSkoolAlumni
