We are delighted you are interested in applying to SoundSkool.
We offer hands-on practical music courses, music industry professional tutors to teach and support you throughout this journey and access to facilities and programs to further your skills and knowledge.
Our courses are for 16-18 year olds, full time, fully funded and available at levels 2 & 3 with pathways in Music Performance & Music Production.
How to apply:
- STEP ONE Click ‘apply now’ and complete stage 1 of our online application form. You will submit your personal details, qualifications and provide your school or college references.
- STEP TWO You will meet the team, tour the facilities and complete either a performance or production audition and 1-2-1 interview.
- Audition and interview process ends June 2025
- STEP THREE Successful applicants who pass the interview, audition and SoundSkool reference checks will then be offered a conditional place for September.
Entry Requirements:
- All applicants must be a UK National or be eligible to study in the UK; and a minimum of 16 years of age and a maximum of 18 years of age on the 1st September 2025
- For our Level 2 course you will need a Level 1 RSL Diploma for Music Practitioners or demonstrable musical experience, and 5 GCSE's at Grade 2-3
- For our Level 3 course, you will need a Level 2 RSL Diploma for Music Practitioners or demonstrable musical experience, and 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4-9
FOR MUSICIANS, SINGERS & RAPPERS
Our bespoke two year, Level 3 course is another of our flagship courses and offers a fully comprehensive introduction to the music industry.
You will be able to develop your skills in music performance, songwriting and composition to a professional standard, providing you with the skills necessary to progress your career. As a performer you will develop your instrument/ voice, artistic image and persona.
FOR MUSIC PRODUCERS & BEATMAKERS
Our two year, Level 3 course is our flagship music production and business course, we offer you a fully comprehensive introduction to working towards being a professional music producer.
As well as developing your skills in music production, composition, music theory and business, you will develop a thorough understanding of how the music industry works and create the tools and resources necessary to start a career, find freelance work or even launch your own business.
