Akilah Balogun has a BSc in Economics and Mathematical Sciences. Her first career was in the financial sector. She worked in Accounting and Finance Management for various organisations including the banking sector.
After volunteering with GCSE students as a Business Studies Mentor, she was inspired to retrain as a Maths and Economics Teacher. She has taught across all key stages in, primary, secondary, further and higher education. She has also trained teachers.
In addition to all of the above Akilah is trained in SEND and Coaching.
Music is a tool that Akilah has used to inspire and motivate herself through every challenge and celebration in her life. She appreciates a broad range of music from African Jazz to Hip Hop to Country.
